The Unforgiving Minute
You should never point a loaded gun at anyone. This is not a hard and fast rule, however. A hard and fast rule is that you should never, ever, point an unloaded gun at anyone.

Detroit’s City Council is Packing.

According to Rochelle Riley of the Detroit Free Press, at least 4 of Detroit’s 9 City Council members have CCW permits, with a fifth planning to get one.

“It’s not an indictment upon the citizens of Detroit but just for my own personal assurances. I was concerned that the city of Detroit not turn into the wild, wild West, but I’ve talked with several incumbents, and the office presents some challenges. I don’t feel I have to use it, but I’ll feel more comfortable having it.”

Good. Given the extraordinarily corrupt, dirty nature of Detroit politics, you’d be a fool to NOT take steps to protect yourself.

  1. From what little I know of Detroit politics, I’m surprised that many of them can pass a background check…

  2. I am a resident, born and raised in Detroit. I currently live on the eastside and I am going to get a CCW as well. My childhood friend is a Detroit police officer and she told me that if I knew how much goes on in the city I would never come out of my home. Self-preservation is innate, so personally, I do not feel it is a big deal. As long as the city council members are responsible gun others then I am sure they will not pose a threat to someone else. An old preacher said this, “I carry the bible to spread the gospel, I carry my gun for the the fool that don’t want to hear it”
