It’s not about guns, it’s about friends.
There’s some gun stuff upcoming, but aside from the SR-556 there’s very little new stuff that I’ve seen. And frankly, I’ve been spending much more time hanging out with Alan, Breda, Mike, and the Atomic Nerds than looking at guns. Which, for me, is really the point.
They’re not as cool as you’d expect; they’re much, much cooler and funnier and snarkier in real life. Especially after a few pitchers of margaritas and/or some beers.
It’s one of the wonderful and terrible things about the Internet: you get to meet all kinds of awesome people that you’d otherwise never encounter, but it’s only on rare, special occasions that you actually get to SEE your friends, sit around and chat, booze it up, and tear into each other (in a friendly way).
And that’s why I’m here.

I had such a wonderful weekend. Thank you for being a part of it.

Awww. I do believe that’s about the sweetest thing you’ve ever said.
+1 to all of it. Over too soon.

I’d repeat this weekend 20% longer.

I concur. I didn’t get to spend anywhere near enough time with you all.

next year, we need to plan an alternate prom. The convention is interesting and all but WE are the fun.

Yup, and then Breda can hug Todd 20% tighter. Somehow I think he’d be all for that.

That’s the hell of it. But I’ve met some of the best. It’s a privilege. LR and Stingray, Bobby, Brigid, and Rita are high on the list of those I’d like to meet next.
