I was formally offered a teaching slot for next fall. I’ve never taught anything before; I have no idea if I’d enjoy it or be any good at it.

What are they making you teach?
I’d be teaching a 100-level “Intro to Computers” class; Windows, Word, a bit of Excel, etc.
Fear not. I taught continuing education for Certified Public Accountants for some years (management topics… accountancy can be deadly boring). What I found was that I developed good lecture notes as I went along and that the notes settled-down (stopped growing) after awhile.
When the notes were solid, I could relax and focus on making the material interesting. A joy. Hope you find the satisfaction I had.
