I’m going to be shipping my Hi-Power off for some custom work, including hard chrome plating. The problem is, I can’t decide if I want polished slide flats, as on this Wild West Guns custom HP, or a satin blasted finish, as seen on factory “Silver Chrome” guns.
I’d only get the full-width portion of the slide polished; the forward end with the lightening cuts, along with the rest of the gun, would be satin blasted.
What say you?
I prefer the satin, as long as the gold trigger isn’t a mandatory part of the package.

Polished or brushed flats! I have a Loaded Springfield stainless that has polished flats and it looks like a million bucks.
I can assure you that there is absolutely nothing “gay” about it.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to make a fresh batch of Mimosas and finish watching “Troy”.

I prefer satin, but only because a shinier finish on anything is a real bitch to keep up with. I mean, you already have to clean your gun every time you shoot it, why should you have to polish it, too?
If its for BBQ then polished, else satin.
I vote for “shiny.” ‘Cos I like shiny things. Unless you’re going to be doing a lot of stealthly stiff, in which case…umm. Small can of hair spray?
Just remember, the zombies fear shiny.
