The Dark and Bloody Ground
Squeaky kinda spilled the beans on this, but I’m planning to attend the Second Amendment Blog Bash in Louisville. I say “planning to” because I can’t 100% commit to something that’s six months off, but it’s on my calendar and I’ll be reserving a room.
I’m trying to persuade this guy to go, but he keeps saying something about having to take care of an infant. Priorities, dude.
So, uh… who knows about good sushi joints in Louisville?

There’s a place downtown on 5th between Market and Jefferson that was alright a few years ago. Can’t remember their name, and I’m not working downtown these days. Not sure what their hours are like, either. They stuck pretty exclusively to lunch and early afternoon when I was there.
Shogun, on Hurstbourne Parkway, was good food-wise, but I wasn’t impressed with their decor. Not far off Hurstbourne is Ichiban, which I haven’t visited. Ichiban’s got some sort of all-you-can-eat deal going for $25 in the evening. (You may find a Benihana’s listed in Louisville, but I’m pretty sure they’re defunct, replaced by Ichiban.)
Possibly more, but I’m not sure where to find a decent list.

Quick suggestion: you should take part of an afternoon to check out the Frazier International History Museum. It’s a bit light on the history, as I recall, but it was originally the Frazier *Arms* Museum, and it doesn’t look as though their focus has changed with the name.

I’m the youngest of 3 sisters. It’s what I do. No one can have any secrets in my presence (well, none that would be told eventually, anyway…)
I’m in the same boat, though…can’t plan 100%, but really, really, really want to go, and it’s far enough off that I SHOULD be able to make it.

Hey, I took off in the middle of a Semester to go to Mardi Gras, from California, - by BUS! Ok so I was at a Hippie Farm college full of stoned Lefties, but dammit you can do better than that.
