The statistics are skewed - there really isn’t an “Oakland-Fremont” nexus, there are several mild and low-rating cities in between those two (Newark, Union City, San Lorenzo, Hayward, Castro Valley San Leandro, Alameda - it’s practically the whole freaking East Bay - covering a distance of about thirty miles.
    There more properly should be an “Oakland-Richmond” nexus, and its crime level and dangerousity would be above Stockton CA…
