I had similar sentiments when my NeXTstation drive died exactly ONE DAY after I finally managed to bypass the login password and actually use it. Everytime I get ready to dump my massive box o' random SCSI cables (at least 3 each of everything you could imagine) stories like this remind me that I have all of that exotic hardware bits 'n pieces for a reason. Now I just need something interesting to do with my stack of sparc pizza boxes (one of each - detect a theme?) ZOMG! That’s enough to make me start trolling ebay. I left programming after I changed companies and had to start working on PC's running VB - it just wasn't fun anymore. Sigh.
