Photoblogging to Detroit

Headed into the city this afternoon to clean up the family graves in Woodmere Cemetery. I brought the digital camera along to document a few of the more… curious sights along the way.

Magina

I still laugh every time I drive by this place. Yeah, I’m immature. But it’s still pretty funny.

White Castle

This isn’t just your everyday White Castle. No, this White Castle is the birthplace of the mighty MC5. Kick out the jams, motherfuckers!

ZOMG Porno!

I guess this is where you go if you don’t have the Internets. And no, I’ve never set foot in the place. I have broadband.

refinery

Visit scenic Detroit, Michigan! You can smell the refinery from a mile away.

street scene

Charming local color in a vibrant neighborhood.

Ham Palace

I recommend the ham.

I’d wanted to do a little more, but this really isn’t the kind of neighborhood where a skinny white boy should be wandering around with a digital camera. Hmm, I wonder if the state tourism board is hiring…
